No Big Bang ???

The following is the introduction of a Feb. 9, 2015 post on cosmology, published online at PHYS.ORG (LINK):

The universe may have existed forever, according to a new model that applies quantum correction terms to complement Einstein's theory of general relativity. The model may also account for dark matter and dark energy, resolving multiple problems at once.

I know that there has been, and are, a handful of renowned, modern-day physicists who have rejected the so-called 'big-bang theory'—the dominate view concerning the origin of the universe among cosmologists over the last three plus decades—but the model linked to above, seems to present the strongest alternative that I have encountered.

The 'young Earth' creation scientists obviously reject both theories, but I wonder how Christian cosmologists who believe that God created the universe via the 'big-bang' will respond...

Grace and peace,

David
